Fun! I always try to ensure that all of my photography sessions involve plenty of laughter and enjoyment to reflect the personalities of you and your family.  My aim is to put everyone at ease so there are no fixed smiles or stilted, formal posing; instead you can be yourselves and interact with each other just as you would at home or on a Sunday stroll – allowing me to quietly capture the precious moments.

I am primarily a natural light photographer, preferring to shoot outdoors and on location where possible. This allows me to make the most of the natural light to produce a varied range of beautiful, relaxed and creative images. 

A typical shoot will start gently at your home, whilst everyone gets used to me and children get over any shyness. We will explore your home and garden and then move on to a favourite local location of your choice - I suggest somewhere special to you as a family, perhaps a local park, the woods, a playground or even the beach.  This will make help to make the images unique to you and also less intimidating for those being photographed - young children in particular, are often more relaxed when being photographed in their own or familiar surroundings.

Sessions can take from around a couple of hours for babies to three or four hours up to all day for families.  There are no time limits, I will work to your pace allowing plenty of time for breaks and for little (and large!) ones to recharge their batteries as well as to change outfits. 

Around two weeks after your session I will return to your home and present your images as a projected slideshow set to music.  I believe viewing your images is a really exciting stage in the process and like to make a special occasion of it.

My philosophy is about helping your record special memories forever, so I believe it is only right that the products I offer to showcase these images are of sufficient quality to last a lifetime along with the images and the memories. I have specially selected a range of high quality bespoke frames, canvas wraps, contemporary acrylic frames, print boxes and albums to enable you to show off your images at their very best.
